-McDonalds milkshakes are lies, they are really malts
-McDonalds is like a factory, everything is automated
-Breakfest can be buttered bread with chocolate sprinkles on top
-Everyone is discusted by peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches
-Pancakes are usually crepes
-When they have pancakes like we know, they eat it with applesauce on top, and this is a lunch meal
-Our blue M&Ms are pretzel, but theirs are something different. Also cruncy, not as salter, and just better. They are also faded colors and are shaped like no M&Ms I know.
-Europeans love curry and pepper
-Minearal water
-No free refills on soda, except in Subway!
SCHOOL
-In school everyone writes with fountain pens, not pencils or normal cheap pens
-They use commas for decimals, which makes for a good laugh when someone uses my calculator. They see a . but not a , haha.
-Commas and decimals are exact opposites. One thousand and ninety-nine hundreths is written as 1.000,99 not 1,000.99.
-The numbers 1 and 7 are written differently. (1 you need to look at the picture, but 7 just ALWAYS has a dash though it)
-If a teacher doesn't show up, neither do you. No substite teachers
-Teachers have dates set in stone for test dates months in advance. I know up to Feb. right now
-Once every 2 weeks you have to do "lunch duty." This includes either doing dishes, cleaning tables, or putting chairs away
DRIVING
-When driving, the traffic lights are rarely across on the far side, they are normally on the two close corners
-Some lights only have red and yellow, and when nothing is lit up it's green
-Street lights sometimes go from red -> red and yellow -> green. Why? no idea, let's you get a head start?
-In the Netherlands there is no right on red
OTHER
-Soccer is practices almost year round, right now soccer practice is in about 40 degree weather.
-I thought Husum was flat, until I went to the Netherlands, you could see forever there.
