Hey look! I am posting on time! Anyways, it's now 'winter'. People here are saying it's cold, and I'm still just wearing my rainjacket. In Wisconsin, we have tons of snow in winter, and here, it rains every single day. If it's not raining while I walk to the bus stop in the morning, I can be 99 percent sure it will be when I'm walking back home in the afternoon. It has sleeted twice, but the white layer of 'snow' hasn't stayed for more than 5 minutes.
Although I can't dream of a white christmas, I'm doing some stuff I normally don't do in the US. For example, in Husum, they have a really fun idea. Every year, they take this giant lunch room place, and make a small ice skating rink out of it. There's little shops where you can buy snacks, hot chocolate, or bratwurst, so after you worked up an appetite skating, you can cure it with a good old fasioned bratwurst.
Another thing that's cool is all of the Christmas markets. These range from big, to small. There was one even in Ostenfeld, and then there is one everyday in Husum. I've been to the market in Husum quite a few times, and this weeked Uli and I took a bread from the boys and went to a market bigger and more exciting than Husum. These 'Weinachtsmarkt"s usually sell little trinkits, handmade things, and always, ALWAYS food. Some typical things are french fries, crapes, glühwein, beer, and bratwurst. These can be found at really any christmas market here. Another delicious thing is they have these magnificent tasting roasted nut things. I really don't know what they are, but it seems like they are almonds, peanuts, etc, coated in sugar and slowly roasted. Let's just say they are absolutely amazing.
This weekend starts my Chrismas break, and it goes until a little past New years. I wish you guys all fun next monday having to go to school/work, and don't worry, I'll be having a great time likely sleeping.
This week wasn't too exciting, so I didn't have much to talk about, therefore the very short post, and the very jumpy post, so sorry. I'm also writing this a little in the day, so sorry when It doesn't make sence. If you would like me to write a post about something in specific feel free to tell me, after all, I don't know what you guys want, and I don't have any questions for myself.
