So, my school scheduele is honestly very confusing, but I hope I typed it up simple enough so you guys can all understand it. When it has "Class A/Class B" that means that they alternate everyother week. The lessons are German lessons, with me and 2 other exchange students. During break you can do whatever you want, including go off campus. Every two blocks there is a 20 minute break, and there is one 30 minute lunch break. If you have no more classes for the day you are free to go home, and if you have no first hour, you are free to come in late (Fridays for me). My scheduele is quite skimpy compared to a regular students, but it's ok! If I want I am allowed to sit in classes that I'm not really in. For example, I likely will end up going to politics after my lesson on Mondays, and art on Wednesdays. My classes are quite relaxed for me considering none of the teacheres give me the same assignments as the other students. Exchange students get special treatment, and it's pretty awesome.
I haven't really talked about the difficulties of the classes yet, so I guess I'll cover that right now. Biology we have spent most of our time so far looking at different types of leaves under a microscope. This is pretty cool because the microscopes here have a stronger magnification that in Hamilton, but it does get boring after a little while. Math has to be one of my easiest classes. I get to do a year of 8th grade math for a year, haha. The students all know the stuff too, but the teachers don't talk to eachother enough to know the kids have already been taught this. English is fun because the tables are turned around and I'm the only one that understands what the teacher is saying. I have times in this class where I can't help to just laugh, because the teacher says some funny words no one would ever say. For example, "Perhaps, Stick (Flashdrive), Beamer (Projector)," and he just talks witha brittish accent. Physics is confusing right now because it's all stuff that I slightly know, but I don't know the vocab words in German... German is the easiest class because the teacher doesn't make me do anything... that is yet. =( Sport class here, is no joke. People complain about fitness testing in the US, boo-hoo. The running test here is how many laps can you run on the track in one hour, and you are not allowed to EVER walk. This is one class that I do enjoy though because you don't need to understand a language too well to understand that you have to run somewhere, and I'm pretty fit compared to most of them. Yay for not confirming the fat American stereotype!!! Chemisty is organic chemistry, so it's all new for me, but I find it very interesting. My hardest class by far is Russian. It is a Russian 1 class, so they don't all know more than me, but I can't tell when the teacher is speaking Russian and when she is speaking German. Russian is also VERY difficult! Their alphebet is completly different than ours, and some of our letters are theirs, but make a different sound. For example an' m' makes a 't' sound! UGH! It will be fun to come back and be able to say some Russian phrases and hopefully some German ones too!
If you have any questions feel free to comment, and if you want to write anything to me scroll to the bottom of the about page!
