In a span of 3 days, I got 4 packages. WOW! Two of them were expected, and two of them were complete suprises. I thank anyone who participated in any of these 2 packages. The main part of this post is going to be saying what I got. Thanks agian to all of you. Around Christmas time I'm sending a package back to America, and that will contain tons of stuff.
My first and second package were the most boring (sorry Ma and Pa...)
This one contained a wonderful ACT prep book (yay... so excited...), and a few smaller things from my parents, including pictures of our... special cat, and a t-shirt from Morgan's college, and of course a letter. =)
The two other packages were completly unexpected, but willingly accepted. One was from the robotics team, and the other from the church. The confusion of my host parents when had a giant package they had to sign for was amazing. Agian, I cannot say thank you enough! Some of my highlights of the two...
Robos
-Letters! I got 2 papers signed by most of the team, and a few from other people. I also recieved a letter from Mr. Waite (the band director), informing my legend still lived on.
-Jack Link's! At every robotics compition it was almost unheard of to not bring beef jerkey, so this brought a big smile to my face.
-Pop Rocks! I haven't really thought about these things, but when I saw them I freaked out. It never clicked that they don't have them here, and I'll wait till a time in need until I open those, haha.
-Lunchable Mud Cakes? Really, I had no idea this existed, but I'm glad to know America can make everything in a factory. =)
-Ramen Noodles! For those that don't know this a typical dinner for us Robos in winter. I'm not sure if they have ramen here or not, but I'm pretty sure they don't. Also, I don't think it was meant like this, but the placement was evil. The ramen was placed on the very top, and nothing could be seen besides only the ramen, and I was very pleased to find the entire box was not ramen.
Church...Wow! I do believe I told Robby I don't need anything, but you guys obviously didn't get the memo! I'm not really sure how to do highlights for this enourmous box, but I'll try.
-Cookies and Cream Hershey's! I'm sure you asked my parents on this one, but when I saw these, my heart almost exploded. When I've eaten the cookies and cream here, I was just not satasified, but now I can be.
-Little Debbies! I can assure you they don't give sugar, covered in sugar, coated in who knows what, packaged in plastic here in Germany. My lunch in America often contianed one of these, and it brought a huge smile to my face.
-Cereal box! YEA! Sugar for breakfest, what could be better. I have to say I do miss having a nice bowl of cereal with cold milk in the morning, and this will more then help me hold on for a while.
-Mac'n'Cheese. Although I am not too fond of these cheesy noodles, it will be a fun thing for the boys to experience. I'm sure they will love it. Gotta teach them American culture right?!?
-Reese's/Peanut butter. Do they have peanut butter here... yes, but does it taste good? No. Sorry Germany. Anything with peanut butter is taken with open hands, considering I looooovvve peanut butter.
Honorable mentions- Pop-tarts (sharing with the boys), Pringles (espeically flavored, all flavored ones here are paprika something), dinosour egg oatmeal (I haven't seen this in YEARS!), and finally butterscotch chips (time to make cookies!).
Agian, thank you so so so soooooooo much. My stock that I now have stored in my room with last me a very long time. Some of my favorite things I am also sharing with the boys, because afterall I can have it all in a half a year, but the boys can't have something american every day.
