Forgot to post this two weeks ago... it was sitting in my drafts. Last weekend I had the privellege to go to the 2nd National Pre-Departure Orientation (NPDO) and I had a blast! We started off by getting there and given our instructions... in a different language. We continued that day to go on to be given a bucket (by a woman actually speaking a fake language) and we got some pebbles put into our bucket. If we put our bucket down, then a leader would come up and add some rocks to our bucket. Thoughout the week, we needed to carry this weight with us anywhere we went, learning the new 'rules' of the new culture. We went on to go into the classrooms, buckets in hand, and have our wonderful team leaders talk to us. We spent most of the weekend in the classrooms, talking about absolutely everything we could think of. My two wonderful leaders, Sam and Kate, helped me sooooooooo much! Both of them lived near to where I'm staying during their exchange year, and they really could answer any questions that I had. I had such a fun time, and I learning so much and am now so much more ready to start my adventure. I have only a mere 10 days to go! Here I come Germany!!!!
