So yes, I am alive and I am in Germany... WOW! It's crazy to think that I am currently writing this while halfway across the word. Some things are different, but I'll get used to it. I've already learned tons of stuff, including what buttons to press for the toilets (haha), and of course tons of new words. My two little brothers are acting like, well, little brothers i guess. They seem to love me, seeing as one is currently sitting next to me, reading this though he doesn't know English. They also are giving me a hard time because I'm having trouble saying brothers vs brother in German. The plural is "Brüder" and the singular is "Bruder"... very difficult for me. They are amazed by my Rubik's cubes and they can't stop playing with them, hopefully when I can actually communicate with them better I can teach them how to solve it =). Currently is a lot of blank looks and plenty of messy German speaking from me.
On Friday I had one 9 hour flight from Chicago to Frankfurt, and then I had a 1 hour flight from Frankfurt to Hamburg. After rwe landed and got our luggage we had to wait 3ish hours for another group of exchange students and then we boarded a 2 hour train ride. I met my family, got a tour of the house, and went straight to bed. Saturday we woke up, had a German breakfast (bread with something on it) and then went out to run a few errands, and went to a family friend's house to swim. We had pita bread with a bunch of stuff in it for lunch, and for dinner we also had peeta bread but this time with hot dogs. Today (Sunday) was a bit more relaxed. I slept in late because I had a hard time sleeping, unpacked all of my stuff into the wardrobe, and then we went on a nice bike ride around town. After coming home and playing a game of soccer with the boys, we ate a wonderful lunch. We had a great salad, some potato slices, and best of all, some grilled chicken and a big bratwurst. We then went to the nearby harbor town, got some ice cream, took some pictures (I look like a tourist anyways), and saw the harbor. We came home after I started to get a pretty bad migrane, I went to my room, and slept. After I felt good enough to get up, I ate a sandwich, watched German TV, and then went to bed for the night. Tcüss!
